Submissions

In Focus is a non-refereed academic journal for graduate level students in degree programs concerned with the themes of international and intercultural education. In Focus accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of information or for the views presented in articles and papers. The content of articles and papers in no way reflect the views of Florida International University nor the programs in International and Intercultural Development Education. The views presented in In Focus are the personal views of the authors of the article.

Students wishing to submit articles or papers for publication in In Focus should understand the following:

• Submittors are responsible for their own editing.
• The staff of In Focus will publish all articles and papers exactly as they are received.
• In Focus only takes responsibility for putting articles into HTML for web publication.
• Articles in foreign languages are welcome, provided that the author provides the non-English article in HTML code and that an English translation is provided for publication alongside the original.
• Submissions will be published in each issue on the basis of their order of submission.
• In the event that numerous articles and papers are received, submissions will be held for future publication in the next issue.
• Articles and papers that are not related to the topic of international and intercultural education will not be published.

Articles and papers should be formatted in accordance with the latest version of the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines. Articles not following this format will not be published. Articles and papers will only be accepted electronically according to the guidelines provided below. Any hard copies received in the mail will be disregarded. All requested information must be completed in order for the article to be published. Anonymous submissions will not be published. Please do not submit the same article more than once, or in more than one of the formats provided below.

To submit via electronic mail:

1. Open your email.
2. In the To field, write director@escotet.org
3. In the Subject field, write Submission to In Focus
4. In the text area write:
   • Your Name,
   • Your City and Country,
   • Your Institution,
   • Your Department,
   • Your Field of Study,
   • Your Email Address,
   • The Category of Your Article (see list in the form provided below),
   • The Title of Your Article.
5. Add your article as an Attachment. Please submit as a text (.txt) file to ease processing. These can be made in the Notebook of your computer.
6. Send your email.

By submitting an article via email you hereby grant In Focus permission to publish your work on-line in accordance with the fair-use provisions of U.S. COPYRIGHT LAW. Furthermore, you affirm that there are no other copyright holders on the work submitted, and that if this is found to be the case, that In Focus and those affiliated with In Focus had no knowledge of this prior copyright and bear absolutely no responsibility for copyright violation.

To submit using the form:

1. Fill in ALL the fields provided.
2. Cut and Paste your text into the textbox.
3. Click on "SUBMIT"
4. You will then see a screen with your submission.
5. To return to In Focus Submissions click on the "Back" button in your browser.
